The before and after shot of the front door view left me baffled, and scrolling up and down numerous times trying to see if you were playing a trick on your readers. Alas, you are not tricking - it is the same place. Looks fantastic Denita. Truly. The kitchen...wow. In its intermediate stage it is more attractive in its industrial/exposed brick-ness than most kitchens going. Can't wait to see more before and after shots.
I am totally blown away first by the jealousy that welled up inside me, and secondly that it is even the same house!! Gorgeous! How was it installing the brick? And where did you find all the furniture? - Dayna :)

dayna, the brick actually is the exterior walls, so we just exposed them by tearing down the old lathe and plaster (BAH-RUTAL job). we have to sandblast it a bit to clean it up, but it is looking pretty good. not sure what furniture you are talking about, but a favorite wood is sheesham (indian rosewood). pretty much everything in our house is wood.
Oh I was wondering if it was the outside. Does that make it cold in there? We have lath and plaster as well and dislike it immensley (sp?) but with 2 kids there really is not a good time to change it. I just meant the table you have as the counter and shelves... Not really furniture I guess. sorry. thanks for the reply!
haven't noticed a change in the temperature because of it.
and yahhh, we've taken down 7 walls of lathe and plaster and it is terrible... not sure your kids lungs are fully developed enough to handle that.
